Who is Darth Vader?
Considered the greatest villain in film history, Darth Vader is the protagonist of George Lucas' Star Wars franchise. He appears in the original trilogy as well as Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. His distinctive features include a black helmet, armor, cape, and his iconic mechanical breathing. Born Anakin Skywalker, he was a slave on the planet Tatooine until he was nine years old. He was rescued by Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, who apprenticed him, but a deep anger fueled by personal tragedy led the then Jedi Knight to the dark side of the Force, where he became an apprentice to the evil Darth Sidious. Anakin became known as Darth Vader, the iconic villain of the franchise. From then on, he wanted to enforce order throughout the galaxy. Despite everything, there was still a little goodness left in Darth Vader's heart.
