The smart sensor recognizes whether a door or window is opened or closed and sends the information to your Nedis SmartLife app. You need a Nedis Zigbee gateway (WIFIZBxxx) to do this. It allows you to do many different things automatically, for example, it notifies you if someone is in your home or sends you a reminder if a door or window is opened. By combining this sensor with other products in the Nedis SmartLife app, you can turn on other Nedis SmartLife products when a door is opened (e.g. lights, a smart plug or a siren) or turn off a heater or air conditioner if a door is opened. Its compact size and the included battery with a lifespan of up to 1 year (with six triggers per day) allow you to place the sensor anywhere (within a distance of approximately 30 meters of the Zigbee gateway).
