Asmodee SET (Nordic + ENG)

ET is a fast-paced pattern recognition game where players compete to find sets of three cards. Each card has 1–3 objects that share the same color, shape, and shading. A valid set consists of three cards where each attribute (color, shape, number, and shading) is either all identical or all different. The goal is to identify sets as quickly as possible in a single pass through the deck.’

‘In SET, each card contains 1–3 symbols, and all symbols on a card share the same color, shape, and fill – for example, two purple striped oval shapes. Colors, shapes, and fills come in three variations: green, purple, and red; oval, diamond, and squiggle; as well as solid, striped, and outlined.

All players play simultaneously and try to find sets of cards during a single run through the deck. A set consists of three cards where each property is either the same on all cards or different on each card. For example, if all three cards have the same number of symbols but three different shapes, fills, and colors, they form a set. If two cards share a property that the third does not, they do not form a set.

To play, one player takes the deck and lays out twelve cards face up. The first player to spot a set takes the three cards. If the player is incorrect, they may not claim another set until another player has done so. When a set is found, the dealer lays out three new cards. (If all players agree that no sets are available, three additional cards are laid out. These cards are not replaced when a set is taken.) The player who has found the most sets wins!
